Stage 4:Gerolsteiner above the rest

Levi Leipheimer jumped into the tour of Germany lead after a great performance in stage 4. Teammate Totschnig finished second. The 2 Gerolsteiner climbers left Ullrich behind them on the steepest hill to finish 1,2.
The American is now wearing the yellow jersey, his lead is 15'' over of his teammate Totschnig. Jan Ullrich is 47 seconds behind in third place.
Ullrich who made winning the tour of Germany one of his objectives of the year hasn't given up yet. The TT on stage 8 will decide it, although making 47 seconds up on Leipheimer might be a tall order, even for Ullrich.
