Stage 1: Tankink braves a crash and the elements

Bram Tankink of team Quickstep survived nasty weather, a nasty crash with 10 km to go
and Bram Eisel and Juan Jose Cobo to win the Stage 1 of the tour of Germany.
The three were involved in a breakaway almost the whole stage, but with 3 km to go Tankink broke away from the three, to get his first pro stage win. Cobo and Eisel finished 50 seconds later and the peloton came 3'15'' later.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's stage, a big cat 2 climb just before the end is going to be the make or break of the peloton. Tomorrow will witness lots of attacks, but with a downhill finish, I think the main favorites will hold till little bit later in the tour.
