Voigt leaves Levi for dead

Jens Voigt retained his yellow jersey with a dramatic victory in the sixth stage of the Tour of Germany on Monday. The German clung on to the wheel of American Levi Leipheimer up the final category 1 climb to St. Christoph am Arlberg, before powering away to victory in a sprint.

It was the CSC rider’s second stage victory in the Tour, and could prove one of the most important in his career. The resultant time bonus pushes his advantage over Leipheimer to 24 seconds in the general classification with just two stages remaining.
